How are Thunder Storms formed?

A thunderstorm is formed by uplifting air. The humid (hot) air cold air meet. It will be cooled down and the moisture (gas or vapour liquid or soild) to form a cloud. The water droplets in the cloud continue to grow. Ice crystals may form because of low temperatures.

Different Types of Thunder Storms?

There are two main types of thunderstorms . One of them is called an ordinary thunderstorm and the other one is called Severe.The  ordinary is a common summer storm. It can maybe go on for one hour. It also has rain and hail , but the hail is small. The Severe thunderstorm is dangerous. It could have hail as big as  base-balls. It is violent because it's winds are strong. It can cause flash floods (quick floods) and it can last for at least 7 hours!

The effects of Thunderstorms on land and People?

Thunderstorms have many effects on land and people. One of the bad effects on land is , that sometimes trees fall over and might fall on houses. Sometimes people can be struck by lightning and this can kill them. It can also destroy people's homes by the strong winds in the thunderstorm, causing roof tiles to fall off the roof, or even damage, the whole house.
